Educational Support to children affected by HIV/AIDS and emergencies
☀ Children with HIV/AIDS and disabilities are still discriminated against and barred from attending local schools in South Sudan. NRDO addresses this issue by supporting teachers within the established schools to overcome prejudice and fear. Holistic in-house programs will be availed to those vulnerable children.
☀ We build schools in villages that historically had no adequate school structure- where students are squeezed into dark and crumbling mud huts, or are taught under trees, or have to walk multiple miles to neighbouring villages, or can’t attend schools at all.
☀ In emergency settings like IDPs/POCs and some remote villages; NRDO engages in construction of Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS) and advocates for education development partners to construct well equipped permanent classrooms and teachers’ houses.
☀ Conduct Training and refresher training for Teachers in life-skills and psychosocial support, Child Protection and GBV.
☀ Organize and training PTA on community sensitization and mobilization especially Girls go back to
